Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control and Assurance

Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, components and finished products to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
Check production lines to ensure standards are adhering to product specifications during manufacturing.
Determine the cause of a defect.
Perform various testing on random finished product samples.
Conduct root cause investigations and respond to Quality Engineering inquiries.
Guide the employees on any improvements and corrective actions that can be carried out for effective implementation of the system.
Educate line associates about quality standards, control measures and resolution processes.

Conduct root cause investigations and respond to Quality Engineering inquiries.
Guide the employees on any improvements and corrective actions that can be carried out for effective implementation of the system.

Audit various manufacturing processes to ensure product during manufacturing.
Conduct root cause investigations and understand the various causes of a product defect.
Proactively seek knowledge on all products and services.
Continuous improvement tasks.

Documentation

Record and analyze defects, evaluate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct audits and ensure procedures and processes needed to sustain quality objectives are established and implemented.
Maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
Ensure a thorough understanding of products, quality standards and issue resolution processes.

Builds Skills and Knowledge

Develop and achieve personal goals.
Ensure a thorough understanding of products, quality standards and issue resolution processes.
Proactively seek knowledge on all products and services.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
3+ years of Quality Control experience.
Prior working knowledge of Windows and Doors is considered an asset.
ISO 9001 quality standard knowledge is considered an asset.
Ability to accurately use precision measuring equipment and interpret metric/imperial systems.
Excellent knowledge of internal quality specifications and your detail orientation ensures that only quality products are released for shipment to our customers.
Your evaluation of findings drives corrective actions to the manufacturing process.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
Experience working with diverse cultures and a varied workforce

Working Conditions

Capable of routinely pulling, tugging, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Operate in an office and manufacturing environment.
Pressure to produce tangible results and complete projects within tight timelines.
Requires a high degree of attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.
Flexible schedule, occasional weekend work.
Due to forklifts in the plant, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing uneven walking surface. Floor may become slippery during wet weather conditions.
The plant environment can be dusty and noisy. Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.
Passing forklifts emit gas fumes and chemicals may contain hazardous materials and emit unpleasant odors.
