POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Customer Contract Specialist will be accountable for accurate record retention of all customer contracts.

They will also be responsible for leading the development and sustainment of a customer contract database that will track critical KPI's relevant to contract commitments.

Finally this team member be accountable for informing cross functional stakeholders of all contract terms that are relevant to their department.

The ultimate goal is to ensure we have an accurate, accessible view of all customer contracts to enable Grainger to maximize value for customers and optimize operation around our contract customers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develops and manages project plans as it relates to the core activities, tasks and timelines for assigned work
  • Responisble for accurate record retention of all customer contract documents
  • Develops and maintains accurate databse of all customer contract commitments
  • Works regularly with Grainger Sales Organization, Customer Life-Cycle Managers, Legal, Finance and other various departments as needed.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and revising drafts and executables of Grainger customer contracts utilizing knowledge of legal terms and conditions to mitigate risk for Grainger. This includes administering the deal formation and concurrence process and approvals.
  • Responsible for tracking customer KPI's and contributing to performance management reporting process
  • Supports process optimization efforts lead by Sales Operations to improve the performance outcomes of the business

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Strong knowledge of sales force structure and operations
  • Five years contracting or related experience preferred with working knowledge of legal terms and conditions
  • Strong knowledge and experience in developing and conducting needs analysis
  • Selfstarter, highly motivated and willing to be challenged daily
  • Experience with the development and optimization of tools, processes and systems to improve business outcomes
  • Ability to develop project plans and to lead execution
  • Highly effective at working on cross functional teams
  • Highly energized team player with a propensity to work collaboratively
  • Professional demeanour and ability to work with all levels externally, as well as internally
  • Excellent skills with both oral and written communication
  • Must be able to influence others without formal authority
  • Must be, highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and projects effectively
  • Must be flexible, proactive and creative
  • Has solid working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Possession of a valid driving license, clean driving record and suitable vehicle
  • Consistently tracking as a 'Valued Contributor' during top talent discussions
