JOB SUMMARY


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Redi-Mix Dispatcher, manages and organizes deliveries on a daily basis for 25-35 drivers out of our Harley, ON location.

(Between Brantford and Woodstock)


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accept and coordinate customer inquiries and orders
  • Accurately enter new orders and changes in the dispatching software
  • Schedule employees and equipment to ensure efficient delivery
  • Relay work orders, messages and information to and from drivers using telephones or twoway radios
  • Direct the pickup and delivery activities of Redi-Mix
  • Provide accurate directions for pickup and delivery services
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Other activities as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

An effective Dispatcher must have the following:

  • Concrete or Redi-mix experience, preferably in a similar field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to resolve conflicts with the utmost respect
  • Ability to tactfully and professionally deal with customers both internal and external
  • Ability to motivate people
  • Able to handle stress, and multi task
  • Must be able to work in a selfmanaged team
  • Reliable and highly motivated
  • Safety conscious
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Must have excellant organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate
  • Must have own transportation
