Terms:
Part-Time


Hours: 20 hours per week

General Manager, Fund Development


Nature and Scope:


Major Responsibilities:


Donor Data Entry
With close supervision and training from the Manager Fund Development Systems this role will:

  • Receive, record, process, donations of cash, cheques, credit cards, shares, securities, estates, and gifts-in-kind, payroll deduction, answer donor inquiries, balance and prepare daily deposits as required.
  • Support YMCA in tribute in memorial gifts input and acknowledgement
  • Ensure correct transaction coding and processing
  • Maintain gift record data hygiene in the Raiser's Edge database
  • Ensure appropriate security measures are being exercised at all times; be knowledgeable about security for all media and technology related to recording gifts.

Donor Relations
Working closely with the Fund Development Officer this role will ensure donor correspondence is done accurately and efficiently as follows:

  • Responsible for writing donor acknowledgement letters
  • Deal courteously and effectively with donor calls, inquiries and concerns
  • Take PCI training in order to accept donations over the phone
  • Assist with donor inquiries, troubleshoot problems and provide resolution to escalated donor inquiries or complaints

Other Administrative Duties

  • Administrative support for proposal writing, minute taking and other admin tasks as needed
  • Supports VP Fund Development administration needs for What Really Matters Capital Campaign
  • Assist with preparation of donor reports as needed for GM Fund Development and VP Fund Development
  • Assist with fund development events administration

Qualifications:


  • Diploma or equivalent related administration or financial accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge an asset (especially pertaining to gift records and gift processing) or equivalent database experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Strongly competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Adobe
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully in English, both verbally and in writing
