About the Product Ops Manager role

The Product Operations ("ProdOps") Manager's mandate is to tackle important and ambiguous challenges through creative problem solving and tactical execution.

Most often, the ProdOps Manager works where there is insufficient technology, people or process already in place to mitigate risk or capitalize on opportunity.

As Product Operations Manager in our Payments & Financial Services group, your responsibility is to support the Product team by standardizing, streamlining, organizing and operationalizing our core processes.

This role specifically focuses on Float's credit products.

Leveraging your ability to understand processes and your passion for making things work, you will work with GMs, Product Managers and other cross-functional team members at Float to ensure our Product team can lead the creation of new tech-forward credit products for our customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure scalability in our credit platform by creating systems, processes, tools and reporting.
  • Enable the Product Team to build the right thing at the right time by surfacing and advocating for key insights from the business to advise product improvements (including post deployment)
  • Track core business metrics related to the product and disseminate insights with other teams leading to datainformed product development
  • Drive efficient execution across the group, partnering with crossfunctional teams to learn which conditions lead to high performing outcomes and replicate them
  • Map our endtoend operational processes and identify opportunities to remove friction and leverage technology to improve efficiency

Requirements:

  • Business or computer science degree
  • 4+ years of work experience in a fastpaced, highperformance environment e.g., technology, consulting, banking, or startup
  • Experience in a fastgrowing technology company, or experience with IT or banking implementation is preferred
  • Strong problem solving abilities, and a proven track record for finding creative solutions for complex problems
  • Deep project management experience
  • Ability to engage multiple stakeholders to drive measurable business results
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to interpret business intelligence to develop strategy and make recommendations
  • Ability to drive efficiencies through process development, outsourcing or lowcode/nocode tooling
  • Experience rolling up your sleeves to work on projects such as enabling automation, creating and managing our external vendor networks, ideation and implementation of new service lines, or developing an operational roadmap for expansion plans
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with support tools like Zendesk is a plus but not mandatory

This role won't be a fit if:

  • You are not a self-starter and do not like to work independently
  • You can't work asynchronously
  • You don't like ambiguity
  • You need a team reporting to you to execute on your vision
  • You're afraid to make bold, brave decisions and take accountability for them
  • You are uncomfortable with direct feedback
  • You prefer stability over change
  • You have an ego

Benefits

Benefits and Perks of working at Float:

  • Small team = lots of autonomy to make an impact
  • Flexible work hours and time off when you need to recharge
  • Opportunity to work with and learn from a worldclass team
  • A personal Float card with a monthly stipend to spend on what matters most to you
  • A dogfriendly office
  • Being able to say you helped build Canada's best corporate card and spend management platform
