Become a Brightside Coach

Position Overview

  • Manage a caseload of students and their families by developing and implementing intervention plans in the areas of academics, executive functions and routines
  • Develop and implement strategies to support student empowerment, executive function development, and selfadvocacy skills
  • Communicate with the student's support team as needed

Requirements:


  • Passionate and motivated selfstarter invested in helping and inspiring others by going above and beyond to ensure they feel _heard_, _understood_, _included_ and _cared about_
  • Must possess strong executive function skills, have a keen eye for detail, and be skilled in selfmanagement and independent problemsolving
  • Has the ability to build meaningful and impactful relationships with students, caregivers and other professionals through inperson and virtual meetings, as well as documentation of coaching sessions and followup support/correspondence.
  • Holds a Bachelor degree in education or a related field (or will be graduating soon)
  • Is a seasoned professional with at least 3 years of experience working with diverse learners in a formal setting
  • Possesses knowledge of ADHD and executive skills deficits, and how they impact school performance in students at different developmental levels
  • Has a working understanding of special education and IEP services, including typical practices regarding teaching methods, homework, grading systems and gradelevel expectations
  • Has an excellent ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology
  • Has excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken), working knowledge of French

Training and Supervision:
Before being matched with students, coaches must successfully complete company provided paid virtual training. Coaches are also provided opportunities for ongoing professional development and supervision.


Compensation:
Coaches join our team as independent contractors and are compensated at a rate of $40.00 per coaching client.

Coaches meet with clients for 45 minute sessions on a weekly basis, maintain session notes, and provide follow up support and check-ins in between sessions.


Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 12-15 per week


Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
