RAP Student/Apprentice

Description

We are currently looking for a RAP student Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice who will be responsible to assist in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Cummins and other branded products, based out of the Fort McMurray, Taiganova location.

This position will work a Monday to Friday, 5x2 shift rotation.

If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, autonomous, detail-oriented and would like to start your Heavy Equipment Technician apprenticeship, then you are exactly who we are looking for.

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and repair for heavy equipment with support from a journeyperson
Adhere to workplace safety policies and regulations, which include but is not limited to FLRA, JSA, JHA & PPE requirements
Show continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively with other members of the team
Participate in maintaining shop cleanliness and organization, which includes loading/unloading, storage and maintenance of equipment and tools
Maintain shop tools, equipment
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
Selfcontrol under pressure and maintain a positive attitude towards fellow employees
Able to complete paperwork (e.g., service reports, repair documentation, timesheets, etc.) correctly and in a timely manner
Be able to work effectively in a team environment while exercising good judgment, common sense and conducting oneself in a professional manner
Excited to learn about new methods, processes, material & equipment
Coveralls and PPE provided
