Job Summary:

Your role:


  • Perform clerical work, including: creation and maintenance of databases and filing systems; organizing internal and external meetings
  • Conduct research to support Development Planning functions with a focus on the Site Plan process
  • Provide assistance in preparing site plan meeting agendas
  • Assist in the consolidation of planning comments on site plans and circulation to applicants
  • Provide continuous, top quality customer service
  • Focus on continuous improvement efforts related to the site plan process (eg. updating procedures, requirements and site plan bylaw) as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of the Planning Act legislation and regulations and planning processes would be an asset
  • Excellent organization, communication and administration skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  • Ability to read technical drawings (ie Site Plans) would be considered an asset
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office, AMANDA and other relevant database systems
  • General knowledge of Ontario planning legislation and regulations and planning processes
  • Good time management, interpersonal, communication and problemsolving skills

Rate:

$ $32.60 /hour
