This role will:

  • Sales and Operations Alignment:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer demands and forecast sales projections.
  • Coordinate with production and supply chain departments to ensure efficient production planning and timely order fulfillment.
  • Implement strategies to improve sales forecasting accuracy and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Oversee regular third party external reconciliations and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, stock movement patterns, and recommend strategies for inventory optimization.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating favorable terms and conditions for procurement.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and quality product deliveries, resolve any issues or discrepancies.
  • Monitor vendor performance and conduct periodic evaluations to ensure compliance with agreedupon service levels.
  • Adhoc Requests and Special Projects:
  • Handle various adhoc requests from the President, which may include data analysis, preparing reports, or conducting research.
  • Assist in the implementation of special projects related to process improvement, cost reduction, or operational efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Teamwork:
  • Foster a collaborative and resultsdriven work environment, encouraging crossfunctional collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of operational excellence, adherence to quality standards, and proactive problemsolving.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
  • Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools.
  • Demand planning experience is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities, with a track record of driving results.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
