Job Summary:

The Seasonal Events Clerical Assistant provides administrative support for outdoor and indoor events during the peak season.


This role will provide support for large public events produced by both the city and independent event producers, to ensure smooth and successful event delivery.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assist with administrative duties which support the programs and events offered at the facilities, specifically Mississauga Celebration Square and the Living Arts Centre.
  • Assist with inputting and maintaining of client information, cheque requisitions, etc. into SAP, Active Net and weekly work orders.
  • Assist with preparation of event documents and reports.
  • Assist with client account reconciliation and bill tracking.
  • Reconciliation of venue fees.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Minimum Grade 12 education.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with good analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are essential to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Emergency First Aid Certification is required.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to support onsite during events is an asset.
