Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

The Part-Time Academic will teach lectures and labs for HORT3008 Horticultural Therapy in the Winter Term 2024 (January to April). The lectures are currently scheduled for Wednesday and Friday from 5.35pm to 6.55pm and the labs are scheduled Friday from 08.35am to 11.25am. The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, labs, test preparation and evaluation. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

At least one year experience teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral and written communication, collegiality and interpersonal skills. A PhD in Plant Science or Horticulture is required, OR a Masters in Plant Science or Horticulture with two years' teaching experience.
