Job Description:
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly motivated Civil Engineer in training for the Calgary, AB office to assist with surface water related projects.
- Conducting storm-water and civil infrastructure inventories on behalf of municipal clients
- Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models from GIS databases using SWMM-based software
- Working closely with municipalities and undertaking sanitary, water mains and drainage and storm-water related projects
- Developing concept, preliminary, and detail designs
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Water Resources focus
- 0 to 4 years of experience in storm-water, water resources, hydrology/hydraulics, and related fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge with hydrological and hydraulic principals
- Experience with construction and design principals of surface and piped water related infrastructure
- Valid Driver's License
- Registration or eligibility for registration as an EIT in Alberta
- On-site construction / inspection experience would be an asset
- Surveying experience would be an asset
- Experience in conducting field work would be an asset
- Experience with watercad, Infowater, SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoSWMM or other modelling software would be an asset.
