The impact you will have:


The successful Associate Service Desk Technician will support our On-Boarding and Refurbishment process, providing technical assistance and troubleshooting to Softchoice employees and supporting the Service Desk team through essential tasks such as inventory, warehouse management, and ad hoc special projects.

You'll get a great feel for what it's like to work in a busy Service Desk environment supporting Softchoice employees across Canada and the US.


What you'll do:


This position will require travel to our oakville office

  • Set up and prepare laptops and accessories ready to ship to new as well as existing employees
  • Provide technology to Softchoice employees as part of our onboarding, refresh, and repair programs.
  • Basic troubleshooting of computer issues related to software installation, printing, and connecting accessories like printers, Keyboards, Mice, and Monitors.
  • Followup on outstanding incidents and escalations to ensure timely and effective resolution
  • Perform changes to user accounts in Active Directory.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Improve employee experience through the provision of endpoint devices as prescribed by team supervisor under Onboarding, Refresh and Repair programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in one of our facilities where we provision and ship equipment to employees
  • Ability to lift laptop computers, monitors and other accessories
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A thirst for technology and an ambitious attitude
  • A background in:
  • Understanding of the technology, i.e. how it's used, how to navigate within it
  • Microsoft Office apps
  • Microsoft Windows 10/11 basic knowledge.
  • Diploma in an Information Technology related program and or Computer Systems Technology is an asset
  • Ability to work onsite in the Oakville office location 3 days or more/week
