Job Description:


Responsibilities:


  • Design and implement nutrition plans to optimize the performance, health, and recovery of all Raptors athletes for home and travel scenarios.
  • Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other members of the Raptors organization to integrate nutrition plans into the overall training and wellness program.
  • Provide education and conduct regular assessments of athletes' nutritional status and provide feedback and recommendations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of nutrition programs and adjust plans as needed.
  • Stay up to date on the latest research and developments in sports nutrition and incorporate relevant findings into the Raptors' nutrition program.
  • Provide education and resources to athletes, coaches, chefs, and other team members on nutrition, hydration, and supplements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of athletes' nutrition plans and progress.
  • Travel with the team is required.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field
  • Proven experience working as a nutritionist, preferably with elite athletes
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) designation
  • Strong knowledge of sports nutrition principles, including macronutrient and micronutrient needs, hydration, and supplement use
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt and adjust nutrition plans based on athlete needs and performance
  • Experience using nutrition software and technology to analyze and track data
  • Familiarity with Canadian and American dietary guidelines and regulations
