Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Junior Environmental Professional to join our team In this role you will get to
support a variety of environmental remediation projects while working with a talented environmental team.



What You'll Be Doing:


  • Assist with coordination of various site monitoring, investigation and remediation projects principally at active and vacant petroleum and chemical handling and storage properties.
  • Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables.
  • Work with project teams including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons and administrative staff using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure project tasks are completed on time and budget.
  • Perform data entry and QA/QC for soil, groundwater and vapour data.
  • Prepare dolists, health and safety plans, technical reports, memoranda and other project documentation.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate including field work at local and remote sites to support learning and professional growth.
Field work may include, but is not limited to the following:


  • Soil sampling during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities.
  • Monitoring and groundwater sampling utilizing a wide variety of equipment.
  • Supervision of drillers and other contractors.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:


  • 4year or higher degree in earth sciences and related disciplines.
  • Prior experience in conducting site assessment, remediation and preparing reports would be an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast paced dynamic environments.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Demonstrates the values of safety, teamwork, service, integrity and accountability.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Maturity in interaction and ability to operate selfsufficiently in the office.
  • A valid driver's license.
