Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Junior Environmental Professional to join our team In this role you will get to
support a variety of environmental remediation projects while working with a talented environmental team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assist with coordination of various site monitoring, investigation and remediation projects principally at active and vacant petroleum and chemical handling and storage properties.
- Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables.
- Work with project teams including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons and administrative staff using interpersonal and organizational skills to ensure project tasks are completed on time and budget.
- Perform data entry and QA/QC for soil, groundwater and vapour data.
- Prepare dolists, health and safety plans, technical reports, memoranda and other project documentation.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate including field work at local and remote sites to support learning and professional growth.
- Soil sampling during drilling, test pitting and excavation activities.
- Monitoring and groundwater sampling utilizing a wide variety of equipment.
- Supervision of drillers and other contractors.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 4year or higher degree in earth sciences and related disciplines.
- Prior experience in conducting site assessment, remediation and preparing reports would be an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player in fast paced dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Demonstrates the values of safety, teamwork, service, integrity and accountability.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Maturity in interaction and ability to operate selfsufficiently in the office.
- A valid driver's license.
