Accounting/Payroll Administrator

Permanent/Full Time


WIN House provides individuals and their children fleeing violence crisis response and intervention, safe temporary accommodation, and support for basic needs.

Those seeking our services are offered trauma-informed, client-centered programming and support, access to resources, information, and referrals to community supports.


  • Process accounts payable invoices and credit card transactions, including vendor and staff followup
  • Reconcile bank and general ledger transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial package
  • Maintain digital and physical financial records, including the archive of prior year files and setup and maintenance of current year records
  • Administers and processes payroll, extended health benefits, and pension plan
  • Participates in year end payroll activities, as required. and works collaboratively with the Director of Finance on related duties
  • Manages information in payroll and HR information systems, including databases, electronic and paper files
  • Develops, updates and documents payroll operating procedures and practices
  • Supports and provides training on timekeeping processes and procedures
  • Completes other projects and duties as assigned
Requirements include a minimum of two years of related post-secondary education.

Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred), experience using payroll system (ADP Preferred) and a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Standard hours of work are 8:30 to 4:30 from Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 to 2:30 on Fridays. WIN House offers a pet-friendly, team -oriented working environment. The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 per annum.
