Automation Control Technician / MillwrightLangley, BC

Position Summary:
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise using electronics, servos, robots and computer systems.
- Lead root cause problemsolving sessions to review specific pieces of the process with the goal of eliminating waste and downtime to meet all distribution team goals
- Maintain a comprehensive log of all preventative inspections and other significant Cimcorp equipmentrelated issues and activities.
- Ensure that system is operating optimally or take immediate corrective actions.
- Make recommendations if system should be operated differently.
- Make proposals on how the overall system could be improved.
- Troubleshooting:
- Take part in troubleshooting.
- Analyze errors and plan corrective measures to further prevent problems.
- Execute corrective measures in cooperation with other Cimcorp organizations.
- Develop methods together with customer to determine root causes.
- Maintain records of system error quantity and error severity in order to prioritize the corrective actions.
- Ongoing control of the system functionality and initiatives to improve the system and practices
- Ensure that system is operating optimally or take immediate corrective actions.
- Make recommendations if system should be operated differently.
- Make proposals on how the overall system could be improved.
- Weekly meetings and reporting activities
- Take part in weekly/biweekly meetings with Langley DC management team.
- Maintain comprehensive log of all preventative inspections and other significant Cimcorp equipment related issues and activities.
- Spare part management
- Assist in having adequate spare part stock and act as link between Cimcorp and the Langley DC.
- Make spare part recommendations.
- Specify needed supplementary parts in cooperation with the Cimcorp Customer Support group.
- Provide support for the manufacturing Ethernet network and act as a liaison between distribution personnel and corporate IT
- Supports without hesitation Distribution Center Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes & are Priority #
- Assures that General Safety and Food Safety is an absolute priority by setting the example as a member of senior management.
- Work closely with distribution supervisors and managers to provide effective controls support
- Promote a strong teamwork environment
- Ensure equipment in area is maintained, guarded and operated in accordance with defined safety regulations and procedures
- Understand levels of scrap and rework in area caused by equipment issues and associated points of cause
- Identify potential cost savings and cost avoidance.
- Participate in budget planning for area and department.
- Strong experience with the following software packages
- Microsoft Office
- Robotic Softwares
- Strong overall electrical knowledge and experience with control systems is a must.
- Assist in regular building maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and wellmaintained facility.
- Excellent communication skills and effective team building skills a must
- Must be a selfstarter.
- Willing to travel for training and visit suppliers, bakeries and other locations as need, albeit it infrequently.
Salary:
$75,705.08-$100,000.00 per year
