    You will also, guide the implementation of the Small Site Handbook for RC Compliance at the Crop Protection research farms.

    As part of the team you will need to interact with AP EHS Professionals across NA, the AP Canadian Leadership Team, employees at the Crop Protection sites, remote employee and employees at the Calgary office.


    Develop and Implement sustainable EHS management system to meet BASF Responsible Care (RC) requirements, BASF regional EHS requirements and country/local EHS legal requirements.

    Oversight for Canadian Commercial Fleet Program, ensuring a pragmatic approach considering the agricultural business needs.

    This includes working with provincial champions a to advise and help coordinate Canada Transport compliance requirements for commercial vehicles, developing a system to manage, maintain, and audit documentation (driver and vehicle files and records, ELD - Electronic log device, etc.) and working with commercial drivers to ensure proper reporting and training.

    Assist stakeholders with the implementation and maintenance of EHS programs, focusing on RC Audit compliance, continuous improvement and efficiency such as MOC, Incident Management, Work permitting, Control of Haz Energy, Confined Space, hot work, line and equipment breaking, HIRA, EHS Training, office ergonomics and more.

    Provide ongoing support for Regulatory compliance with federal, provincial, and local EHS Requirements, including BASF Requirements.
    Lead the implementation of initiatives that advance the safety culture across the organization.
    Support AP remote employees in the areas of incident reporting, management of change, ergonomics, travel/driving safety, etc.
    OSIH support, including IH Exposure Assessment Plan (EAP) coordination, noise survey coordination as needed.
    Provide guidance on Environmental reporting requirements to site personnel and support communication with agencies as needed.
    Bachelor's Degree in field of Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Agricultural Science preferred.
    ~ Bachelor's degree can be substituted by an Associate degree and 10 years of experience.
    ~5 years in Environmental, Health, and Safety in Agriculture or Chemical manufacturing.
    ~ CRSP Designation an asset but not a requirement.
    ~ Experience in implementation of EHS programs in agricultural, manufacturing, research facilities or industrial.
    ~ Experience in Training and Development of employees on EHS programs.
    ~ Knowledge in Core EHS management systems such as Work Permitting, Control of Hazardous Energy, Management of Change (MOC), Incident Investigation, mobile equipment, etc.
    ~ Ability to apply corporate and legal EHS requirements to operational and research facilities.
    ~ Ability to perform EHS risk assessments and identify corrective measures.
