JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Security Consultant determines Security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements. The Security Consultant work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
  • The Security Consultant plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing security requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices; designs public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software; adhering to industry standards.
  • Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires mínimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Must have skills:


  • Implements processes, such as GRC (governance, risk and compliance), to automate and continuously monitor information security controls, exceptions, risks, testing. Develops reporting metrics, dashboards, and evidence artifacts.
  • Evaluates risks and develops security standards, procedures, and controls to manage risks.
  • Performs and investigates internal and external information security risk and exceptions assessments. Assess incidents, vulnerability management, scans, patching status, secure baselines, penetration test result, phishing, and social engineering tests and attacks.
  • Documents and reports control failures and gaps to stakeholders. Provides remediation guidance and prepares management reports to track remediation activities.

  • Developing and implementing enterprise governance, risk, and compliance strategy and solutions
  • Risk assessment and management methodology
  • Cyber and cloud security standard frameworks, architecture, design, operations, controls, technology, solutions, and service orchestration
