DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively develop and implement strategic account plans to maximize customer value, define mutual performance objectives, and build long term sustainable business.
  • Direct crossfunctional collaboration designed to build and implement pricing strategies, contract terms, margin analysis and supply plans for Graymont.
  • Accurately prepare and support annual and longterm sales budget and operating plans.
  • Develop a key understanding of direct and indirect competitive threats and correlate sales planning to combat these threats. This includes GHG/carbon tax implications and opportunities.
  • Comply with sales support processes and systems including producing sales reports on all existing and new business.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all levels of customer organizations including senior management, procurement, operations, technical and supply chain.
  • Identify key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers for effective negotiations and enhanced ability to drive positive outcomes.
  • Work closely with our plant personnel, marketing, technical groups, and customer service departments to produce and implement continuous improvement processes for the portfolio.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities, work collaboratively with marketing, technical service, product development, and other functions within Graymont to develop and launch.
  • Proactively manage and assist in the collection of past due accounts.
  • Actively lead and participate in crossfunctional project teams.
  • Attend and, as requested, present at Graymont sponsored meetings and training activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of five years progressive in industrial sales and business development with a focus on technical support and solutions. Experience in industrial minerals, mining, construction, and agricultural sectors considered an asset.
  • High interpersonal savvy with a wide range of people and able to earn the confidence of new and existing customers.
  • Sharp problem solving, economic analysis and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication & negotiation skills (written and spoken in English & French).
  • Able to set, coordinate, and accomplish multiple competing priorities.
  • Selfdirected, able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and decision making skills.
  • Willing to travel up to 30% of the time, including cross border travel to US.
  • Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce an asset.
