The Opportunity:


We're looking for an ambitious and driven HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team You will be responsible for supporting team members on both a global and local scale with administrative functions and HR programs.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a variety of areas including HRIS, recruitment, onboarding, total rewards, HR projects, HR analytics, and employee engagement.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Supports the implementation of various HR programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitates all activities and owns the data related to employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assists with all aspects of the recruitment process including job descriptions, hiring requestions, sourcing, interviewing, reference checks, and offer letter preparation.
  • Administers the group benefit & RRSP plan for North America including updating the system, and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for all HRIS data entry in North America, including but not limited to new hires, salary changes and status changes.
  • Administers global recognition programs including long service awards, and Values based awards.
  • Coordinates global employee data and provides insights to the HR leadership team.
  • Responsible for assisting with various special projects, activities, or employee engagement events.
  • Assists with the creation, upkeep and implementation of guidelines, standard operating procedures, and manuals.
  • Develops and drafts internal communications including announcements, presentations, policies, and newsletters.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining the global company intranet site.
  • Assists with administrative tasks as required, including owning the inventory and ordering of office supplies, updating org charts, and HR expense reporting.
  • Provides logĂ­stical support for professional development and learning sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • 12 years of experience in working in an office environment. Previous experience in HR is considered an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Business, Human Resources or a related discipline is required.
  • Technologically proficient with the ability to adapt and learn new software. Previous experience with ADP or HRIS is considered an asset.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience analyzing data in Excel and PowerBI.
  • Previous experience with Alchemy, or a Learning Management System is considered an asset.
  • Ability to review an HR process and make recommendations for improvement.
  • A strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Proven track record of thinking outside of the box and putting ideas into action.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
