Parker Canada Division is hiring a permanent full-time
Hose Assembler (Day Shift 6:30 am -3:30 pm) in our Hose Assembly department at
our Winnipeg location.

Basic Functions and Duties:
- Reading and understanding work orders
- Understanding and conformance to hose assembly quality requirements
- Understanding and knowledge of ISO procedures as they pertain to Hose Assembly
- Manual lifting up to 35lbs, use of cranes and other lift assist devices for heavy materials
- Ability to operate all hose assembly equipment for all types of products
Includes:
saws, depth mark, inserters, crimpers, air flush station
- Use and understanding of all measuring tools
Includes:
tape measures, scales, digital protractors, digital calipers, or any other
measuring device which may be utilized to inspect hose assemblies
- Inspection of hose assembly quality at all stages of assembly
- Capping, tagging and packing hose assemblies for shipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Team Lead or Supervisor
- Abiding by company and/or regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations as it pertains to the job i.e. Health & Safety Policy, WHMIS, Code of Ethics, etc.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
- Participate in problem solving actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and quality systems
- Identify, record and escalate any problems relating to the product, process and quality systems
- Control further processing, delivery or installations of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent
- Previous experience using hand and power tools: saws, measuring tapes, etc
- Strong mechanical aptitude with previous manufacturing or assembly experience is a strong asset
- Good verbal communication skills
- Selfmotivated, able to work alone or in a group environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Efficient use of time
- Team Player
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds consistently

Salary:
$16.21 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
