Role Summary:


Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations or designated, the
Systems Monitoring Supervisor will oversee and manage the day to day site monitoring, safety processes and systems, as well as overseeing and managing a team of individuals charged with ensuring the safe and secure operation of our Huntingdon production facility.

The facility operates 24/7 and requires the Systems Monitoring team to always ensure its safe and secure operation.


How you can contribute:


  • Hire, manage and coordinate a team of (4) on a rotational schedule, ensuring coverage of the facility and its monitoring systems during evenings and weekends, including holiday periods.
  • Provide outstanding leadership and coaching to the direct team
  • Is the primary contact and supervising individual during the daytime (7am 4pm; Mon-Fri)
  • Manage the monitoring systems and building accesses
  • Ensure that any unplanned deviation, such as leaves or other absences are properly managed
  • Train new staff members on our systems, processes and procedures
  • Manages and Implements the Site Organizational Security Plan
  • Completes, reviews and files all reports required to be completed by our Organizational Security Plan, and capable of adhering to and improving these procedures and processes
  • Creating shifts and supervising the team
  • Make recommendations to improve and optimize the monitoring services
  • Respond to security incidents as a lead investigator from initial investigation, reporting, communication of details of incident, liaising with appropriate personnel and emergency services, if required
  • Direct staff response in the event of an emergency
  • Other duties as required

Things we hope you have:


  • 35 years' of relevant experience
  • Fluency in French, and advanced level of English.
  • Spoken Spanish would be considered an asset
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Is familiar with Health and Safety Emergency Responses
  • Is familiar with various Facility Monitoring and Recording Systems
  • Valid security guard license would be considered an asset
  • First aid certification would considered an asset (will be provided to fulfill need)
  • Holds a valid drivers' license
  • Available to work flexible hours
  • Professional attitude and ability to maintain and promote harmonious relationships with clients and staff
  • Passes a Criminal Background Check
  • Existing Health Canada Security Clearance would be considered a strong asset.
  • The eligibility of Security Clearance is mandatory for job sustainability.
