Position:
Health and Safety Supervisor for Transportation Company


We are a Burlington-based transportation company looking for a Health and Safety supervisor who will be responsible for all safety training for our drivers.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Driver training on all company safety policies and protocols.
  • Hiring and Onboarding of new company drivers.
  • Training of drivers on proper maintenance and use of company equipment (trucks, trailers, electrical walkies, etc)
  • Working with management on creating and implementing new safety policies. Responsible for compliance with all safety regulations in the facility and on company equipment.
  • Filling out our accident report forms and coordinating documents with insurance.
  • Any other duties assigned regarding safety and hiring in the workplace.

Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies:


  • Must be able to communicate effectively (both written and oral).
  • Must be organized and have great attention to detail.
  • Must be a selfstarter and work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask.
  • Work well under pressure and within deadlines.

Education and Training:


  • Experience working in a Transportation /Logistics company is preferred.
  • Knowledge about truck and trailer maintenance is an asset.
