The Technical Claims Consultant of the Risk Solutions Group (RSG) provides technical leadership and direction for RSG technical claims, including: fidelity bonds, Property including, real estate mortgage operations and chattel operations, professional liability including, Errors & Omissions, Directors & Officers, Employment Practices and subrogation/recoveries including individual case management, technical oversight of the entire special risks claim portfolio and compliance with statutory and reinsurance obligations.


How you will create impact:


  • Maintaining a personal portfolio of largest and most complex Risk Solutions Group claims
  • Maintaining claim handling standards and processes with emphasis on coverage interpretation, loss valuations, subrogation opportunities and risk exposure
  • Directing and conduct large loss reporting for regular management meetings to keep RSG, reinsurers, and other CUMIS managers advised of developments on largeloss Risk Solutions Group claims.
  • Providing technical direction to Risk Solutions Group (RSG) staff for interpreting and managing complex issues for RSG coverage and claims
  • Working with the claim Management Team to ensure that the RSG staff and process for responding to the TCUBP and other RSG claims is delivering the best possible expertise and service on behalf of our claim constituents.
  • Establishing and manage critical vendor relationships for the handling of special risk claims, with particular emphasis on investigation, litigation, and forensic accounting.

To join our team:


  • You have 710 years of claims experience in fidelity, professional liability claims or in a related field.
  • You have a postsecondary degree.
  • You have expert knowledge in multiline claims investigations, policy review and coverage interpretation experience.
  • Having the chartered insurance professional (CIP) Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) or Charted Professional Accountant designation(s) is an asset.
