Overview


Reporting to the Corporate Controller, The Accounting Manager will bis responsible for managing, directing, and processing the day-to-day accounting transactions and related financial and regulatory management across the entity's multiple North American companies.

This includes a comprehensive review of all transactions and the month-end close process as well as providing reporting and analysis of the financial results.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes, reviews, and assists in the posting and evaluation of accounting treatment decisions for various daytoday transactions and business processes.
  • Analyzes and processes salesperson's commission payments and accrual.
  • Analyzes investigate, and assists in the resolution of any accounting transaction,
- credit card, or ERP-related matters.

  • Manages, reviews, and posts warranty entries as required.
  • Completes and files Canadian and USrelated commodity tax returns.
  • Supervises and assists in posting and reviewing the accounting treatment of AR payment transactions, as required.
  • Manages the review and posting of AFDA and overdue account collections.
  • Manages and verifies the validity of account discrepancies and customer issues by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service, and customers.
  • Supervises and assists in the followup and collection of old AR invoices and open sales orders.
  • Manages and completes the monthend close and initial financial reporting
  • Reviews and leads the process around the monthend close tasks and reconciliations.
  • Reviews and analyzes entity trial balance and account reconciliations as part of monthend close.
  • Analyzes and provides commentary on machine margin results, compared to budget.
  • Supports monthend variance review with analysis and explanations as required.
  • Prepares support and analysis for yearend tax returns and monthly provisions
  • Prepares support and analysis for yearly insurance renewal.
  • Leads the gathering and coordination of audit support items and building the audited financial statements.
  • Assists in the training and development of junior accounting staff.
  • General management and completion of regulatory and other documents as required.
  • Monitors internal controls and general adherence to financial policies & procedures.
  • Keeps company accounting records organized and readily available for examination.
  • Responds to requests for information internally and externally on time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
