Position Summary
The Production Supervisor reports to Production Manager.
Windsor, Ontario is one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager in leading and coaching the shop floor production team to safely produce quality product in accordance with established criteria.
The Role
- Meet daily production objectives and manage each shift with respect to production efficiencies, effectively utilizing corporate resources, labour, equipment and materials;
- Supervise a team of hourly employees involving a high level of engagement with team members while promoting our patient first culture;
- Meet daily and longterm safety, quality, efficiency, uptime, cost, and Quality Control objectives
- Ensure regulatory compliance with respect to GMP and ensure compliance with respect to Catalent's Standard Operation Procedures & Ensure that training and qualifications are current for all employees in the Shift/Department.
- Ensure the implementation of quality procedures, health and safety initiatives and promote productivity improvements
- Provide daily information on metric results per shift, through daily shift report and during Master Variance meeting;
- Schedule daily resources including manpower, machinery and materials to meet or exceed budget requirements.
Continental rotating shift schedule, 12 hour day or nights.
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences (Chem., Biology) or related field preferred;
- Minimum 35 years of manufacturing experience in operations management, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility an asset;
- Strong problem solving, analytical, technical & computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word);
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills;
- Demonstrated ability to lead high performing work teams.
