Position Summary


The Sales Representative is responsible for selling to new and existing customers new material handling equipment and other products or services as defined by commission package within a defined territory.


Specific Accountabilities

  • Achieves sales targets as determined by company
  • Contacts current customers to sell new equipment
  • Solicits new business within territory
  • Performs a customer service function including initiating and followup with customers to resolve problems as it relates to used equipment, answer questions about invoicing, products or services

Education & Work Experience
Post secondary or equivalent education proficiency and/or 2-5 years' experience in an industrial sales position. Prior experience in the material handling industry or capital equipment sales would be an asset.


Competencies and Skills

  • Proven ability to sell in a short sales cycle
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Well developed negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • Ability to write business correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

- material handling sales: 1 year (preferred)

  • Outside sales: 4 years (preferred)
- customer service: 5 years (preferred)
