Basic Requirements:


  • Two (2) years of community college or diploma or certificate in office administration or secretarial studies;
  • Minimum two (2) years related experience;
  • Intermediate Word, Intermediate Excel, Intermediate PowerPoint and Intermediate Access;
  • Keyboarding at 45 words per minute;
  • Proficiency in conducting Internet searches;
  • Experience in minute taking;
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize, organize and work independently;
  • Excellent general office and coordination skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast paced and busy environment;
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills required to deal with unexpected situations and issues;
  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).


Language proficiency requirements are based on the nature of the position and the level of interaction with French and English speaking clients.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in health care;
  • Research and evaluation experience;
  • Successful completion of TOH medical terminology selfdirected learning program or certification in medical terminology from a recognized educational institution.
