SUMMARY:
The _
Quality Manager _ is responsible for the development, implementation, and strict adherence to a quality program.
He or she develops and/or reviews standards, policies, and procedures for all functions and departments involved with or related to the production of all products.
The position reports directly to the President, is a member of the executive leadership team, and works closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, andCustomer Service.
The _
Quality Manager_ is a builder who thrives on establishing processes to guide the quality activities of the Company, while promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement from the ground up.
DETAILED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bring together the quality activities of all manufacturing segments for overall planning and priorities in line with the objectives of the Company
- Review and resolve quality control problems/concerns with the quality team and others including vendors, customers, quality control personnel, and any personnel related to production
- Lead team to improve quality control and quality assurance procedures including documentation, reporting, and performance metrics
- Coordinate and lead audits with various OEM customers
- Develop and fortify existing quality inspection requirements based on specific part standards, as defined by internal engineering and customer criteria
- Ensure collaboration between quality team and other departments throughout the organization
- Enhance and manage internal/external corrective and preventive action processes
- Working with internal teams to enact vendor quality improvement initiatives
- Coordinates and assists with vendor inspections and product inspections, as necessary
- Coordinate between quality teams in Canada and Overseas
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality leadership role in a Manufacturing setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills
- Indepth understanding of quality procedures
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools and quality related software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- BA or BS in appropriate discipline
- Experience with QA measuring and testing equipment
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, processes, standards, etc.
- Starting salary of $90,000 to $110,000, depending on experience o Annual bonus of 15% based on performance metrics
