Job Summary


The HR(Hiring) Assistant provides administrative support to the coordinators, and the Human Resources Coordinator and is in charge fully of the hiring process for support workers.


Reporting Relationships and Roles
The Hiring Assistant internally communicates with all areas within the organization. The Hiring Assistant reports to the Human Resources Coordinator.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:


  • Posts job openings on various channels, as needed
Completes the hiring process(interview, references, hiring and onboarding), as requested by the coordinators

  • Perform administrative functions such as answering phone calls, data entry
  • Uses MS Office to create and updates schedules, reports and forms related to hiring, under the supervision of the Human Resources Coordinator

  • Dartmouth, NS (Main Office)

Working conditions and physical environment

  • Primarily indoors, the HR Assistant will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment in a busy, open area office
  • Work is often completed with the use of office equipment and computers
  • Frequent interruptions and meeting with others on a regular basis
  • Occasional lifting of supplies and/or materials
  • Travel to other offices may be required

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20 per week

From $20.58 per hour
