Overview:
As a

Sales Representative, you will be a Lafarge Precast contact for customer accounts, and will promote Lafarge Precast Standard products, services and solutions.


Reporting to the Sales Manager of Precast, you will also work closely with Operations, Quality Control, Engineering, Drafting, and Finance.


The Sales Representative is responsible for growing the Standard Products business in the greater Edmonton area, focusing on customer needs, managing accounts and relationships, interacting with decision makers, while achieving sales performance.


Responsibilities:


  • Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example and participation with others to drive the development of safety initiatives
  • Answering sales calls
  • Collect PO's from customers for new orders
  • Providing verbal and written quotes/estimates
  • Collecting credit card information from clients for processing
  • Providing knowledge and expertise in field of underground electrical, and construction products.
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings to determine order requirements
  • Entering order into sales system
  • Assist in managing Standard Product inventory
  • Assist in managing precast rentals
  • Entering daily production for sales report
  • Organize shipments for orders requiring delivery
  • Customer account reconciliation when necessary
  • Assist in development of additional standard products
  • Ensure proper documentation is kept for transactions in line with auditory requirements
  • Be the main point of contact for clients in the portfolio
  • Work closely with production teams
  • Keep a detailed events log during the course of each project
  • Coordinate internal and external engineering and detailing resources
  • Monitor project work to ensure it aligns with the agreed upon PO

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or diploma from a recognized institute (P.Tech, CET) concidered a strong asset
  • Experience in sales, estimating, or relevant construction or manufacturing experience relating to underground electrical concrete products would be considered a large asset
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior customer service experience considered an asset
  • Experience using Sales Force Lightning system preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of other construction practices (electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.).
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Practical experience time management
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • This is an IN-OFFICE position only
