SUMMARY:
Peel Career Assessment Services has been serving the Greater Toronto Halton Area for over 50 years. We are offer Vocational Assessments, Employment Services, Newcomer Settlement Services, Youth Programs, Seniors' Programs and Fulfillment Logistics Services. Centre.
Your position will entail working with the Job Development Team to support and create employment opportunities to our clients. Additionally, you will identify possible barriers to employment and support job retention once the client is hired. Utilize Training Incentives to support employers in their hiring and training needs.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Coordinating and conducting marketing and outreach activities to employers, associations, sectors and community partners
  • Liaising with community partners regarding client referrals and client progress
  • Delivering job retention / employer expectations workshops and information sessions, and other workshops, as needed
  • Assisting clients to develop resumes, cover letters and interview skills
  • Coaching and motivating clients during job searching and work placements
  • Ensuring successful job development for clients in their areas of choice by developing and maintaining relationships with employers in highdemand fields
  • Administering placement agreements with wage subsidies; monitoring wage subsidies throughout client placements
  • Ensuring individual placement targets are met
Qualifications / Skills Required

  • University degree/SSW Diploma
  • Ability to communicate in French and English
  • Minimum of 2 years' direct service experience in recruitment, job development and / or job coaching
  • Superior written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Workshop facilitation skills
  • Counselling / placement experience with youth considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of local labour market and job search strategies and techniques
  • Strong resume and cover letter writing skills
  • Detailoriented
  • Willing to travel ithin the Greater Toronto
  • Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle is essential
  • Flexible approach to work to ensure that all requirements of the program are met

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract


Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,225.00 per year
