What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:
- administer area maintenance contracts related to maintenance and repair of transportation related facilities, ensuring work is completed to contract documents and specifications
- ensure contractors maintain work records
- monitor financial forecasts and expenditures
- provide analytical support to ensure effective delivery and value for money
How do I qualify?:
Mandatory:
Road Maintenance and Construction Knowledge:
- understanding of road maintenance, inspection and repair in summer and winter conditions
- practical knowledge of road construction, practices, equipment and materials
Legislative and Contract Management Knowledge:
- thorough knowledge and skills in contract administration
Supervisory and Planning Skills:
- proven ability to plan and lead activities within established timeframes
- ability to manage stakeholders in high pressure situations
Communication, Negotiation and Computer Skills:
- demonstrated negotiation, oral and written communication skills to deal effectively with contractors and the public
