About Company:

Bluvec Technologies Inc., a Burnaby-based technology firm, is seeking an experienced VP


You Will Be Responsible For:


Leadership in Business Operations:


  • Deliver strategic support to Sales and Marketing Leadership Team and create alignment across key functions and indications, through strategic business planning cycle development and implementation
  • Ensure that the team is being entrepreneurial in their approach to activities (piloting, assessing, modifying, and scaling up when successful)
  • Lead and optimize business operations processes and proactively suggest necessary changes/improvements
  • Lead and assess workload capacity exercise and proactively suggest solutions and inform International/Global Commercial Ops on the key local needs and critical success factors to secure optimal activities, resources, and proper budget allocation
  • Regularly assess business development plans, quarterly business reviews, contracts and reporting, gain an understanding of the key players in our global client relationships.

Sales Force Operations:


  • Close oversight of Marketing, Sales & Operations function
  • Drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and growth goals and objectives.
  • Fluent in sales measurements and KPIs that drive sales performance, including lead and appointment generation, proper pipeline building, sales pipeline velocity, sales forecasting, bookings to billings ratios, and deal close ratios.
  • Experience selling and negotiating at executive level in complex sales cycles to B2B clients.
  • Attract A Players and build a bestinclass team
  • Own the strategic planning processes—including org planning and alignment—with inputs from key stakeholders, sharing the strategy with the team and updating as necessary.
  • Lead targeting efforts and resource allocation (cycle planning) in line with global framework and local strategy
  • Manage sales force sizing, territory alignment and resource optimization initiatives

Commercial Insights:


  • Coordinate relevant KPI reports (vial performance, activity metrics) for key stakeholders in affiliate (Management team, Marketing teams) in a timely manner
  • Deliver ad hoc reports in line with local specificities and needs
  • Coordinate the monthly and biannual Business Review meetings.
  • Initiate & lead performance discussions based on assessment of KPIs and Metrics
  • Collate and share needs for local market research with Global/Regional teams and coordinate market research projects at local level

Compliance:


  • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including compliance with ISO
  • Ensures that business processes are systematized to ensure consistent service delivery, increasing productivity, and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinates with Human Resources to ensure the execution of programs and procedures in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations
  • Executes continuous improvement, quality and sustainability initiatives

You Will Need To Have:


  • 15+ years' experience in security/ technology/ export industry with background in Business Operations Management
  • Experience with market research, business analytics, training, digital, sales and marketing functions
  • Proven track record in business and financial management. Key areas include, the development, implementation and evaluation of operational and strategic plans, business plan development, operating & capital budgeting, project management, quality management, legal and contract negotiation and management, and change management.
  • A strong understanding of P&L and balance sheet interrelationships, supply chain operations, cost accounting, and capital accounting
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen, with a proven history of innovation, growth, and a passion for sustainability and safety stewardship
  • Ability to think strategically and understand tactical implications
  • Ability to lead, drive change and make critical business decisions
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • People management experience (must)
  • Prior experience planning and executing large Sales Kickoff events
  • Excellent public speaking, presentation, teaching, facilitating and writing skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment where priorities change quickly based on business needs
  • Experience leading teams and working cross functionally
  • Fluent in English (other languages are asset)

We Would Prefer For You To Have:

  • MBA
  • Sales/ marketing/ logistics leadership experience
  • A natural communicator who can present complex issues to senior leaders in simple formats to influence decision making
  • Advanced Security Clearance
  • Seniority Level: Executive
