Finance Business Specialist
What is the opportunity?
As a Finance Business Specialist, you will be an important resource to Finance Operations and on project initiatives.
You will provide an appropriate level of process, system and business support, from a Finance standpoint, to all types of change initiatives/projects, driven by or impacting the Insurance organization.
Working on Business As Usual activities and projects, you will become a Subject Matter Expert and will be assisting Finance Operations, Finance Shared Service and Support (FSS), and other business partners in investigating and resolving reconciliation issues and variances.
What will you do?
- Reconcile, investigate and resolve complicated GL accounts against the supporting schedules
- Review and analyze data and explain variances
- Provide Finance support to various other business areas
- Participate in projects/initiatives, providing Finance business requirements, input to proposed solutions, testing and business readiness activities to ensure optimal results.
- Participate in the development/delivery of procedure documentation (SOP) and train Finance and FSS staff on changes, processes and functionality
- Support and collaborate with IT and other business partners to manage and help resolve Production issues
What will you need to succeed?
Must Have
- Strong knowledge of Income Statements and Balance Sheets
- Experience in account reconciliations, variance analysis and investigations
- Excellent aptitude for organizing and prioritizing
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Project work experience
- CPA or working on a CPA designation or related working experience
