Reporting to the Client Services Manager, The Driver will transport clients to and from appointments or the Adult Day Programs using the organization's fleet of vehicles.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:


  • Drive clients to and from appointments and/or Adult Day Programs using the organization's vehicles;
  • Assist clients to embark and disembark from the vehicles and escort them to their destination;
  • Participate in the daytoday upkeep of the organizations' vehicles, including vehicle startup checks, gas and oil and reporting any problems;
  • Report any client behavioural changes or any other areas of concern.
  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent;
  • Valid Ontario Bus License
  • Level B, C, E or F;
  • Experience Driving a bus for 3 years more;
  • Valid Ontario Vehicle Insurance;
  • Clean Drivers Abstract

Key skills and abilities we are looking for:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Selfdirected and independent, but also experienced in working effectively as a member of team, which includes internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in working with seniors and diverse ethnic groups;
  • Fluency in a second language is a strong asset.

Special Requirements:


  • Criminal background check;
  • Must be able to work scheduled shifts between Monday
  • Saturday and evenings up to 9:00pm.
