About Ronsco
We are currently looking for a dynamic, confident, and entrepreneurial HR Manager to join our head office team in Coteau-du-Lac, Québec (west of Montreal).
- 45 years of relevant experience in a Human Resources Department (preferred).
- Experience working within a small/medium sized private company in an HR coordinator, generalist or other HR support role (preferred).
- Advanced familiarity with provincial labour laws (Quebec, Ontario, & Alberta preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of payroll practices.
- Excellent communication skills in both English & French.
- Confidence in your knowledge, with a willingness to challenge conventional thinking of management and others.
- A high comfort level working with modern software systems.
- Ability to take initiative, enjoy working independently and proactive by nature.
- A university degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or related field
- Positive attitude.
- A member of Human Resources Association such as CPHR/CRHA Canada (preferred)
- A bachelor's degree (preferred).

- Institute of Professional Management (IPM)
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)/Conseillère en ressources humaines agréé (CRHA)

- Deploying an employee selfserve portal (Dayforce for PowerPay)
- Reviewing existing group benefits plan with external consultants.
- Developing and documenting employee policy manual across the organization.
- Developing comprehensive recruiting strategies across the company.
- Developing internal communication strategies for employees and managers.
- Developing a performance review system and bonus system structure.
What day-to-day tasks to expect in this role
- Handling all CNESST or other HR related inquiries and inspections, etc.
- Drafting job descriptions and executing recruiting initiatives across the organisation in coordination with managers at each location.
- Managing all aspects of group benefits and retirement savings plans, addressing employee and management questions as required and in consultation with broker or other professional service providers.
- Administering, maintaining, and validating weekly payroll via the Ceridian Powerpay system
- Overall management of time & attendance platform (Dayforce for PowerPay by Ceridian), adding, removing, and updating employee profiles as needed.
- Issuing record of employment (ROEs), confirmation of employment letters, annual T4 and Releve documents annually and/or as required.
- Onboarding new hire employees.
- Maintaining, developing, and communicating HR policies across the organisation.
- Establishing and communicating holiday schedule across the corporation.
- Handling all CNESST or other HR related inquiries and inspections, etc.
- Providing guidance and support to union relation issues, negotiations, grievances, etc.
- Providing support to employees in various topics such as leaves and vacation etc
- Developing and deploying professional communications to employees regarding HR related programs, policies, etc. as needed.
- Supporting and participating in Health and Safety initiatives.
- Benchmarking of salary ranges to ensure market competitiveness.
- Contributing to development of progressive and professional approaches to HR on an ongoing basis
- Acting as the senior internal HR contact person for all employees
- Advising and supporting managers, as well as a resource person for all related HR issues
- Play a support role with managers in all matters relating to remuneration.
- Facilitating creation of training and development projects.
- Support the leadership team with relevant HR tasks and initiatives.
