The Opportunity


Reporting directly to the Deputy Fire Chief, the Fire Administration Coordinator is responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office administrative support staff supervision, task delegation, and management of facilities, and space-of the Fire and Emergency Services department.

An awareness of operational priorities and an aptitude for achieving seamless coordination of such priorities is essential, while ensuring confidentiality.

As the Coordinator, Fire Administration you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:

  • Responsible for supervising Fire Administration staff including day to day operations, performance assessment and performance management.
  • Maintain records and files specific to the fire management, some of which are highly confidential, including human resources, legal and confidential reports.
  • Prepare and maintain confidential correspondence, documents, reports, and presentations on behalf of fire management.
  • Review incoming documents or reports to provide initial assessment of whether the item contains quality information that is appropriate for the desired use, and to be able to answer initial questions or clarifications about the material.
  • Analyze and monitor internal processes to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Create and implement standard operating policies and procedures
  • Track and monitor expenses related fire and emergency service events and engagements ensuring initiatives are in alignment with budget. Track credit card receipts and prepare credit card statement reconciliations.
This position offers a salary range of $68, $82,513.23.
