Description

Harvard Developments has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator - 12 month contract position with a chance to extend to join its facility management team in Edmonton to carry out project and construction management activities directly with suppliers, contractors, and occupant customers.

Reporting to Senior Manager, Capital Programs while working together with any number of project managers, this position works collaboratively with all other departments of the facility management team.

The company oversees 8 million square feet of office, retail, and industrial properties throughout Western Canada, with offices in Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, and Edmonton.


What you will bring to the job:

  • Ability to design scope of work statements, tenders, and related civil construction administrative activities.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction processes and their implementation.
  • A desire to assist others, along with a superior customer service orientation.
  • Availability to work outside regular business hours as required to supervisor projects in progress.
  • A strong command of the English language with good communications skill, both oral and written.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills that enable positive and beneficial relationships.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving abilities to consistently meet deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently using both personal initiative and sound judgement.
  • Computer literacy in Office 365 environment, as well as use of enterprise job costing systems, construction design, and scheduling software.
  • Experience in purchasing goods and services; and managing a budget.
  • A working knowledge of workplace safety practices and requirements.
  • Understanding of codes, safety regulations, and best practices on construction and renovation; and
  • Superior organization and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
