Description

Beamish Construction is looking for loyal hard-working employees to join our team. We are looking for a Quality Control Lab Technician in the Greater Sudbury Area. This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive wage and benefits package.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform asphalt and aggregate quality control testing within a laboratory, at a project site, or out in the field
Accurate completion of documentation both written and digitally
Help to continuously improve processes and procedures
Perform other duties as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

Experience in civil/mining engineering OR diploma/degree from civil/mining engineering program is required
Valid G license is required
Knowledge of asphalt testing or related experience is an asset

Job Duties:

Ability to use hand tools and equipment required to perform the work
Ability to lift in accordance with OHSA requirements
Must have own means of transportation
Ability to work long hours Including weekends at times
Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Willing to travel to job sites with occasional overnight stays when required
Capable of all physical requirements including lifting (up to 50lb), bending, climbing, etc.
Ability to work out of town
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
