ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
- Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
- Monitor the availability of technicians and inform the Shop Foremen, Service Advisors, and Managers on absences and/or delays
- Use internal repair orders and predelivery inspections/checks to help reach production goals and complete internal work in a timely manner
- Answer incoming calls regarding service inquiries and accurately schedule appointments when necessary
- Set effective, efficient time schedules
- Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA, WHMIS company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including proper use of appropriate PPE. Follow business code of ethics and communicate to team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise all employees assigned, providing assistance, training, counselling, and motivation, as required
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required to successfully perform the job

Education and/or experience_
- Minimum GED or ACE or Post-Secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with scheduling in an automotive/heavy truck environment
- Computer experience in MS Office, KARMAK, or equivalent dealership programs
- The ability to understand the mechanics of diesel vehicles
Language Skills_
- High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- The ability to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
- Strong communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
Mathematical Skills_

Reasoning Ability_

Certificate, Licenses, Registrations_
- Licensed Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification 310T preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee sit, stand, kneel, stoop, bend and lift occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The noise level in the work environment is minor.
