- Provide technical leadership on the aquatic biology components of our projects within a team environment.
- Manage, plan, and lead aquatic programs.
- Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of works and deliver quality reports on schedule.
- Liaise with on-site client representatives and contractors.
- Provide quality and independent review for projects.
- Provide an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly.
- Work collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture.
- B.Sc. in biology or related field
- Technical knowledge in aquatics and fisheries biology
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Appropriate professional designation such as R.P. Bio., P. Biol., or P. Ag. preferred
- Experience with environmental monitoring and/or environmental inspection
- Multi-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and permit application processes
- Fish sampling experience, using various techniques
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, team leadership and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
- Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box
- Valid driver's license from a Canadian province or Territory acceptable for driving alone and with passengers in a work setting

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. ("Triton") is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Aquatic Biologists, at all experience levels, to join a well-established team of environmental professionals in our Vancouver, BC office
You will get the chance to be part of some exciting ongoing projects that are integral to building the local and provincial community. This position will appeal to individuals who have a passion for working outdoors and who thrive working in a dynamic and fast-paced consulting environment.
Successful candidates will be part of a team building world-class projects that balance environmental stewardship with responsible resource development.

COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time position with a compensation range of $28 - $46 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
SCHEDULE
This position will entail working in the field. Candidates must be able to travel and work remotely for durations of up to three weeks at a time.
For more senior level candidates, there could be potential to do more office-based work and/or later consideration of getting involved in more project coordination/management related work.
