York Fabrica Inc.

is looking for an organized, self-motivated individual who is excited by the idea of joining a team of the most skilled tradespeople in the stone industry within the Greater Toronto Area.

No experience required - training available. Experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

Operating, maintaining, and repairing CNC controlled water jet system, garnet supply, and recovery system
Reading and interpreting blueprints and part tolerances per print specification
Identifying material types and thicknesses as associated to Work Orders
Understand proper startup, shutdown and lockout tagout procedures
Programing and operating Waterjet
Ensuring parts meet all print specification
Working on additional equipment or tasks as directed by the Floor Supervisor for production needs or continuous improvement
Completing Training specific to the operation of the waterjet as provided by the manufacturer

Preferred Skillset:

Highschool diploma or equivalent related experience with ability to demonstrate excellent math and communication skills
Ability to use overhead cranes, basic hand tools

- tape measure, etc.

Understand DXF, DWG, and various print file types
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed (voluntary)
Experience with CNC machine operation
Experience with Computer Aided Drafting
Perform other various duties based on company needs and workload
Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans
Strong communication skills and high level of organization
CAD and/or CAM based software experience is an asset
Overhead crane license or experience (preferred)
Forklift license (preferred but nonessential)

Hours of Work:

Day shift - 6:00am to 3:00pm (0 vacancies)

Night shift - 3:00pm to 11:15pm (2 vacancies)

Employees are offered overtime based on skill level and workload capacity. These extra hours are often offered in peak seasons in conjunction with the construction industry within the GTA.

Pay Rates:

From $ $27.00 per hour. Willing to negotiate.

Pay rates are dependent on experience and skill base. Pay is deposited weekly.
