We are currently recruiting an energetic and highly motivated sales professional with an established network of relationships within the industry to fill the role of Account Manager for our Coatings & Constructions (C.A.S.E.) group.

Reporting to the Business Director, the Account Manager will play a key role in the growth of the business within the Company.

We are looking for someone with technical sales experience in the chemical distribution market. You will be required to travel throughout the assigned region, promoting Quadra's products and services.

This includes developing and implementing a team-driven strategic business plan based on a solid understanding of industry trends and customer needs.

What would be your main responsibilities as an Account Manager ?:

  • Develop sales with new and existing customers in addition to maintaining existing customers in the territory
  • Manage key customer relationships in accordance with Quadra's core values and strategic vision
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and margin targets
  • Develop and utilize internal and external resources, leveraging Quadra's reputation for service excellence
  • Sell Quadra's superior product line to potential customers through routine customer visits, joint calls and participation in industry events
  • Social networking; participate to networking events and / or trade shows
  • Assist with customer troubleshooting and optimization opportunities
  • Adapt to a complex and rapidly changing environment
  • Manage tight deadlines and deal with emergencies outside of business hours
  • Qualify key decision makers and their needs
  • Close new business by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, incorporating contractual requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencers to obtain repeat and new sales
  • Cold call potential customers
  • Attend trainings, sales meetings, company events and trade shows
  • Weekly reporting and scheduling

What are the key skills and attributes we are looking for?:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and resultsoriented
  • Possesses a drive, a tenacity, enthusiasm and empathy
  • Passion for the field, curious and possess excellent technical skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields
  • At least 5 years experience in a business development role selling products or services (B2B) to the industry within coatings, adhesives, elastomers, constructions
  • Experience in the distribution industry would be considered as an asset
  • Proven ability to drive new sales: prospecting, qualifying customer's needs and expectations, delivering presentations, qualifying concerns and closing
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business
  • Proven computer skills, experience with a CRM (ideally Salesforce) and with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time (might include some overnight travel)
  • Possess a valid driver's license
