Accounts Payable Administrator & Reception **
Job Summary:Under the direction of the Accounting Supervisor, process, coordinate and administer the accounts payable and disbursements process and perform receptionist and office administration duties.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES FOR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ADMINISTRATOR:
- Processing high volume accounts payable for various facilities (invoice entry, cheque disbursement, etc.)
- Vendor account reconciliations
- Vendor and internal customer correspondence
- Filing
- Compilation of reports on Excel spreadsheets
- Various other duties as assigned
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AND DUTIES FOR RECEPTION:
- Creates a welcoming environment by greeting guests, answering phone calls, and directing visitors when required
- Receives incoming and arranges outgoing courier packages and physical mail
- Orders office supplies and administers the corporate office supplies account with main vendor
- Organizes and files company documents either electronically or with a paper filing system
- Provides support for teams when necessary
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- At least one to two years of experience with computerized accounting software required (SageAPA (automated AP system) experience will be an asset)
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel required
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be initiative driven
- Strong time management skills to be able to prioritize activities, especially when there is a high volume of tasks
- Positive attitude for greeting visitors or telephone callers in an inviting environment
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise a high level of professionalism and discretion with confidential information
- Be able to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and work well under pressure and deadlines
