Pharmacy Technician in the
Pharmacy Stores at our
Bayview Campus.

according to rotation


Summary of Duties
We currently have a temporary part-time vacancy in Pharmacy Stores for a Pharmacy Technician.

The Pharmacy Technician duties can be broadly divided into three areas:
drug distribution, inventory management and purchasing.

Responsibilities include tasks such as assessing the need and supplying drugs to the OR, critical care areas and W&B program, maintaining inventory in AcuDose cabinets, Pyxis cabinets, C2 Safe, supplying narcotics to all areas of the hospital, placing purchase orders with vendors, managing drug recalls and expiry dates.

Other Pharmacy Technician duties included are inventory management in Pharmacy Stores, purchasing and receiving of drugs and supplies, and maintain appropriate documentation.

Multiple weekday shifts begin at 0630hrs, 0700hrs, 0730hrs and 0800hrs, as well as weekend and statutory holiday shifts as required in rotation.


Qualifications/Skills

  • Prior work experience in the Pharmacy Department, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre within Pharmacy Stores is preferred.
  • Experience with AcuDose, Pyxis and C2 Safe is preferred.
  • Current licensure by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Ability to work independently
