Position Overview
TAI is looking for a highly self-motivated and self-directed professional who is proactive, organized, and passionate to deliver quality performance
The Project Manager will report to the Director of the Project Management Office.
Our industry is moving fast, and we need someone who is adaptable with a strong sense of ownership of their work and the work around them.
Responsibilities Responsibilities**:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously; effectively prioritizing to ensure accurate scheduling and ontime delivery
- Manage project timelines, scope, cost and quality, facilitate project status meetings and keep stakeholders up to date on progress, due dates, upcoming tasks
- Drive resolution of projectrelated operational issues and risk mitigation with support of project sponsor(s)
- Create and maintain project artifacts, including project plan, resource requirements, action items, risks register and issue log
- Manage project change request process and support the project sponsor with prioritization and approval process
- Support standardization of PMO methodology, tools and processes
- Drive innovation and simplicity by identifying opportunities for process improvements and standardization, act and an enabler to gain efficiencies
- Provide high quality, timely project governance and communication to sponsors and project team members, including key project milestones, weekly status reports, action registers and risk assessments; build contingency plans
- Proactively monitor project progress, drive resolution of issues and initiate appropriate remedial action to ensure successful delivery of the project
- Manage regular communication with stakeholders inside and outside the company, effectively responding to issues and managing stakeholder expectations
- Other Project Management administration and coordination duties as assigned
Requirements Required Experience, Skills, and Education**:
- University degree or college diploma, preferably in Business Management, Computer Science or Engineering
- Minimum of 35 years experience as a Project Manager utilizing best practices (e.g. PMI) and Agile/ hybrid methodology
- Solid understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC), Quality Assurance and Requirements Engineering best practices
- High level of proficiency using MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint) and Project Management collaboration toolsets, strong understanding of the Project Life Cycle
- Experience working on projects based on Microsoft Technology stack (.NET, SQL Server, ETL tools)
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, on scope, on quality, and on budget
- Experience working independently in a fastpaced, at times unstructured environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple, parallel streams of work/projects, excellent organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills complemented by negotiation and facilitation skills
- Ability to efficiently work in virtual and colocated teams, with high rate of change, significant time sensitivity and aggressive timelines
- Demonstrated ability to track progress against the Master Project Plan and multidomain stakeholder Communications Plan
- Ability to develop contingency plans to provide an alternative method of keeping the Project on track in the event of a delay to one of the workstreams
Some extras that would be great
- Formal project management training is desirable; PMI-PMP certification is an asset
- Insurance/Reinsurance domain experience is desirable but not mandatory
