Cut to length line operator and helper

Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily inspections of machine at the beginning of each shift
  • Assist line operators in completing machine setups to cut metal coils into sheets
  • Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure quality products are produced within specified tolerances
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet customer specifications
  • Assist in packaging material according to order specifications
  • Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards at all times

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 12 years of cut to length or slitter machine operating experience
  • Ability to read imperial measurements and work instructions
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Overhead Crane experience is an asset
  • Good work ethic and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong teamworking and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time
