THE OPPORTUNITY

Slegg Building Materials is currently seeking a Full-Time Cashier to join our team The shifts are Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm.

The wage range is $ per hour, based on experience. Our Health & Dental benefits start after 3 months.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers
Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as a top priority
Greet and assist customers with purchases
Process all point of sale, returns and payment on account transactions at the cashier counter in an efficient, accurate and friendly manner
Answering phones
Maintain product displays on selling floor in immediate area
Provide suggestions and recommendations on products and materials
General housekeeping duties including cleaning displays and sanitizing high touch areas and carts
Disinfect and clean counter tops, phones and keyboards
Disinfecting and putting away returns
Cover reception as needed
Other duties as assigned by management

THE REQUIREMENTS

Previous cashier experience is an asset
Attention to detail
Superior customer service skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment during peak periods
Ability to work independently and as team
Available to work flexible hours including weekends
Physical requirements include:
Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs
Standing for long periods of time
A positive can do attitude is essential
